On March 9, 2024, six of The Acadamy RolePlay server streamers joined together for a charity stream to raise money for Gamers Outreach, a non-profit that provides mobile gaming consoles (GO Karts) to children’s hospitals nationwide.
Each GO Kart is $3,500, and our goal as a community was to raise $25,000. During the four hour event, we raised over $100,000. Enough for each streamer to send five GO Karts to a children’s hospital of their choice.

I chose Nemours Children’s Hospital of Wilmington to receive five of the GO Karts.
GO Karts are portable kiosks that host video game equipment within hospitals. Each unit contains a TV, gaming console, controllers, and assortment of games. The kiosks make entertainment more accessible for patients while enabling healthcare workers to focus on providing care.
On September 19, 2024, my family and I visited Nemours in Wilmington to see the new GO Karts in action. Scott Shaw, Nemours own Game and Technology Specialist, gave us the grand tour. Let me tell you, this is not a job for Scott - it is his passion! He is makes a difference in each kid’s life everyday. He raved about how excited all the kids were when they received the GO Karts.

All of this would not be possible without the TARP community which I am so grateful to be part of. The fact that not only were we able to be part of such an amazing charity, but then to absolutely knock it out of the park, blows my mind. I am humbled. I am baffled. My heart is full.
Thank YOU for the difference you make. We aren’t stopping here; the future is going to be wild. Buckle up!
